Elm St. feathers

Elm St. feathers, originally uploaded by cabanagirl.

Ella and Kate discovered feathers as treasures on our walks in the neighborhood. They have become quite the adventurers and collectors. Here are three that they have left at my house. I hope they bring more back for me to paint.

It really is lovely, very delicate colours.

Children do love collecting stuff don't they. Feathers are one of my granddaughter's favourites. Hope they bring you more!

Thank you so much. Yes, each time my girls (age 3 & 7) are over they want to hunt for feathers. They found some beautiful orange and black & white spotted ones with orange quills but took them home. I think they are from a Northern Flicker which is in the woodpecker family. I hope they return them soon
