Beachy Denver

IMG_0844, originally uploaded by cabanagirl.

You can take the girl away from the beach but you can't take the beach away from the girl. Ryan and Whitney have been working hard to help me get settled. I can say that this room is finished. I plan on reupholstering the green chair to a creamy white but that will be the next phase.

Just been catching up on blogs I follow. Haven't done much for a while so pleased to see you're settling down. You've achieved a lot and the rooms look great.

Denise, why on earth are you hiding that armoire that I long for in this picture? Anyway, aside from that minor critique, I love your new home! :) ! You moved in fast and placed your talented thumbprint everywhere.

Moving out of Cali was courageous for me when I did it and then scary when my parents did it after me (yet, nonetheless, we all landed well, so everything worked out beautifully) however, when I first heard YOU were going to do it too, I couldn't help but have mixed feelings (since I miss it), but I think you'll be better than okay (from what I can see) and I think your life journey is going exactly the way it's intended.

I wish you heaps of happiness and tons of luck in your lovely place. I will look forward in your pics coming in snow season when we will all (most likely) be reading about your adventures in (drum roll, please)... SKIING!!!! :)))

Yes, Scarlett, I am looking forward to getting on my snow gear again. The mountains are beautiful here. I drove through them and was reminded how green, cool and peaceful the Rockies are in the summer. I must include the glorious Aspen trees in my landscape design. As far as the armoire, I must place that in my will to go to you. I love that I can use it in my living room rather than my bedroom where it was before. I'll take a new pic of the full view and send it to you.
Today I am working in my garden and then doing some finishing touches to my blue princess room......a perfect room for you when you come to visit.
