On my walk last night I saw daffodils for the first time! Oh Joy! As a friend of mine predicted it has been a long hard winter at times pushing me over the edge for lack of any signs of color and outdoor living. But maybe there is hope that spring is on its way.

Flowers flowers....none blooming in Denver so when the Sketchbook Challenge theme was flowers this month I decided to use this bracelet made from vintage buttons a my subject....daisies, chrysanthemums, yellow pearl beads and tiny white blossom buttons mounted on metal findings and strung together....must be from the 60's

Oh, what a beautiful day in Denver

Today was a warm and sunny day in Denver. I went out for a late winter walk through City Park....about 1 mile from my home. Once I arrived I walked to the lake and then around it. It is a great vantage point to see the Denver skyline and beyond to the front range of the Rocky Mountains. Denver is still a collage of brown, grey and black....total absence of color but the sky was blue and the sun was warm.
City Park also houses the Denver Zoo and the Museum of Nature and Science....both places I visit often with Ella and Kate. The back side of the museum looks West to the mountains.
