Let summer begin!

Well Denver has had 6 days straight of afternoon thunderstorms which have included lots of hail, lightening and even tornados.  The weather has played havoc with the garden, the roads and Ella's soccer tournament BUT:  It is Memorial Day and the beginning of summer.  No rain expected today just lots of sunshine.  A good day for playing, grilling, thanks for those who have kept our country free and ICE CREAM!

Goat babies, 2 weeks old

Two weeks old and quite frisky.  The mamas are willing (?) to share their milk and I made lavender ice cream with it yesterday.  Life is good on the farm

Happy Mother's Day

Meet the newest kids in my back yard. Iris and Jack were born Friday afternoon.  Ella and Kate were excellent assistants.  Thanks girls!  Just when the new little family was settling in it was CoCo's turn. Like true sisters these does do everything together including giving birth.  Willow came 5 hours later. I was the midwife with little to do other than love them and give these new MaMas some molasses water.  Watch the video and see these less than 1 day old kids do what makes us all giggle
