Sunflower and Coco

Sunflower and Coco, originally uploaded by cabanagirl.
These little doelings came home to my urban farm 3 weeks ago and are settling in nicely. Coco (the one on the left) is about the same size as my biggest chicken "Pluma" so she is not very big. They are now 2 months old and wag their tails madly when I bring them their breakfast at 6 in the morning. Say "hello" Coco.

Celebrating broccoli

These helpful horny bugs are trying to populate my broccoli bed and control the strange "bug" that likes to eat the leaves. First broccoli stalk. Did you know they grew this way?

Trip to Seattle

Gabriela and Reina, originally uploaded by cabanagirl.
Oh Boy! Another trip to Seattle to see my granddaughters: Gabriela and Reina. All have moved across town to a new home with a little more space for children to play. G, R and I took off for the park in their new neighborhood and stopped a few places along the way. We passed the Puma School with a cool sundial, played in the park and then found the community garden, the P-Patch on the way home. Just 2 blocks from their new home.
