Planes, trains, and ferries

One of our goals was to ride everything possible. In Denver we took the CAR to the airport; rode the BUS from the parking lot; ESCALATORS to the TRAINS that took us to the AIRPLANE. The next day we took the MONORAIL to the space needle and ELEVATORS to and from. Sunday we drove to the FERRY to Bainbridge island and did some park hopping. Gabriela had her own ride in the BABY BJORN. Is there anything we missed? Maybe next time we'll take a ride on a seaplane or a hang glider.

Happy Birthday Reina and Amber

Wish, originally uploaded by cabanagirl.

Monday was little Reina's #2 birthday. We celebrated with a breakfast party with friends and family. The night before, after Amber and I made the cupcakes, we decided to have a dress rehearsal for Reina with her cake and candle blowing. It was a success! On cue, when her cupcake was brought to her the following morning Reina started singing "Happy Birthday" to herself and then the rest of us joined in. Friday is Amber's birthday. Besides her birthday she gets to celebrate the receipt of her license to practice psychology in Washington. I am so happy and proud that she is my daughter-in-law, that she is my son's wife and the mother to Reina and her "in womb" sister. I feel so blessed that she chose to join our family. Happy Birthday Girls!

Schmap Seattle

This photo made it to Schmap Seattle's website. Apparently we tourists take the best photos for tour guides so if you are planning a trip to Seattle check out this site and my very first recognized photo. Reina and her mommy are in the foreground. That's my shadow in the front on the left and Brad is in front of his family taking a pic of them...you can see his shadow too. It was a great day for blue skies and long shadows in th Olympic Sculpture park
