Saturday is my son-in-law's birthday. I was so inspired by the lovely red velvet cupcake I had the other day that I wanted to see it again. Today I will go to SusieCakes and buy him some real cupcakes. No watercolor cupcake substitute for him.

I was at the Whole Foods Market yesterday and wandered by the bakery for inspiration on my cupcake cards. Look at this cupcake......with a pumpkin on the top! Since I couldn't exactly sketch and watercolor in the market I was forced to buy it and bring it home...chocolate with mocha icing and a pumpkin patch of more icing. Is there someone who can help me eat this?

Greeting cards inspired by special occasions and the season's produce from the Farmers' Market. I found this packet of watercolor paper postcards and thought it would be great to share my sketches with my family  this way. The plum is now in my tummy and the chilies are in the salsa for tonight's dinner.  Bon Appetit!
